THE WEEKENDER :) ANIMAL HIJINX & THE MOB GETS SERENADED

ECLECTIC TREATS
It's a real mixed bag THE WEEKENDER :) brings you this June weekend.
BETTER THAN PET TRICKS
Thanks to Brian and a couple of other friends for alerting me to some incredible video. These are lots of fun.
This piece from Brazil is fascinating and speaks volumes about species interaction.  What an uplift! The video was shot and is copyrighted by Gerd Traue.

THEN THERE IS THE EXERCISING SEA LION
No explanations needed-
but who came up with the training idea?
Neither of these pieces are earth shaking, but they are evidence of how the world can share and enjoy, thanks to YouTube. And after all it is the weekend and THE WEEKENDER :) is about enjoyment and maybe a nap.

DAY BOOK
CAT TIMES
Nap time comes easily to Hemingway and Luke.
Daughter Kristin was working on a shot of the buck when
out of no where up pops "stealth kitty" Hemingway.
Then there was the time when Hemingway encountered
a new gate for the first time.

FRIDAY LUNCH FLASH MOB GETS SERENADED
Have a great weekend.  See you down the trail.

  1. My girls had a Persian cat named Puffin. Puffin was big and fat with a face that looked like she was related to Zsa Zsa Gabor. Old Puffin would jump up on the family room sofa settle in with her back propped up on a pillow, her kitty legs spread beneath her huge belly and survey her Queendom. My daughters would walk in the room and go through an elaborate ritual of bowing, scrapping and giving homage to their cat Queen. Puffin barely acknowledged their existence. (unless she needed a treat of some kind) Just to irritate the Queen, I'd run the electric can opener. Thinking it was dinnertime she'd leap off the couch and run into the kitchen, by that time I'd be long gone. My kids would yell at me, "Daaaadd, don't tease our poor Puffin!" Cats!

  2. Love that picture of Hemingway and the buck, and the videos were wonderful as well. Thanks again for that Illuminating Blogger Award. I linked it back to you on my post this morning.

  5. That buck is so still he appears to be a statue. I'd seen the dolphin rescue (you may have emailed it to me) but not the trained sea lion. Give 'em enough fish and they'll do anything!
