A REPUDIATION
In the midst of this, take a breath and appreciate how the people of the United States have rebuked and repudiated the offense and travesty of Trump, MAGA, and the cowardly, enabling Republican party.
There is a limit, a moral barometer at work. Voters exercised their capacity to be outraged and say "enough!"
Big money, Trump's obscene meddling and spewing rallies, billionaires trying to buy power, the brutal and simple minded advertising, the scabrous tone and style were all dispatched by the real and true power, the American voter.
This was reaction to being lied to, promised wars would end, prices would come down, the people's needs put first. This was America saying no more graft, corruption, politics of gold gilding, privilege, amateur foreign policy, stupidity, and selfishness.
Trump asked us to think of him as being on the ballot. Americans decided to take out the garbage including those people of the red party who went along with the debauchery, deception and derangement.
Appreciate that the world is waking up to the news that Americans muscled up to a bully and his goons and minions and said "you're fired."
There are Democrats who certainly won the race on their own merit, but much, so much of the vote was America deposing MAGA and their backroom perverts trying to dismantle the federal government, stab our allies, and make nice with war criminals.
This was a chorus saying no SS Storm Troop like ICE goons running amok, no more little tin god tyrants decimating the US Military, no more boneheaded political hacks and "low-lifes."
This is not validation of the Democrats, but this is their chance. For now they are the body bag squad, the fumigation team, the swamp drainers. But they must begin as agents for the American voter, doing our bidding.
Democrats are best advised to leave retribution to another time. The first task is to do something for hurting Americans, the millions who just handed them the keys to the House and Senate.
We want honorable public servants, speaking truth, acting with integrity. We want lawmakers, capable of asserting their constitutional role in the sharing of federal power. But we want lawmakers working for us.
There are several issues they could lead with; a new minimum wage, end the tariff insanity, new ethics laws, quit spending billions and find a way to end the war that Trump should never have started. Earn the voters trust. Prove to us you are capable of making the changes that will make life in America better and more honorable.
Utilize legislative power to help put the Department of Justice on the right track, to repopulate the Department of State with true diplomats. Control the money, get back the money Congress appropriated that the Trump gang confiscated. Write laws that prohibit another con artist and scammer or looney tune unitary executive power advocates.
At some point it is necessary to begin the root to branch accountability of the Trump crime family, the role of Elon Musk, the DOGE intrusions, the Kushner "diplomacy/buisness conflict" and to prosecute as the evidence leads, but not as job 1. Job one is earning the support of those who just gave you the job. Remember affordability, do something about it. And stop the Napoleonic/Trump Arch.
On this day it is nice just to think that Americans spoke, with emphasis!
