LIBERTY'S LIGHT AND A LEGEND

A LION FALLS

The entire affair is sad.
A terrible allegation followed by apparent inaction
leads inevitably to a bad ending.
The board of trustees has acted now, but where
were they before now?
Paterno was a legend. This is not how it should end.
Everyone looses here.
Responsibility, accountability and honor
are more important than a game.

  1. The Penn State imbroglio is sad, indeed. Joe Paterno should not have gone out that way but he may have only himself to blame. The board of trustees acted cowardly in administering the coups de grace by telephone. And the students were stupid, really stupid, to riot like they did. So . . long story short, a bad day, week, year for Penn State. Sad.
