Are we to believe this man is an evil genius who, with his cabal and laughable sycophants will make this nation a better place? Who, but Putin, thinks it's a good idea to bash or break NATO? How's Korea working out? What did we get for walking out on the Iran deal? They got the money and now no one is there to stop them from building nukes? How's that wall look? Did you get your heartland jobs back? Are those coal mines open again? Cutting lunch programs your idea of hearing those desperate who voted so they would be heard and get help? That tax break help you as much as it did the 1%? You really want to invade Venezuela? What's the positive of being the only nation in the world to drop out of the Paris Climate accords? Think it's a good idea to kick your allies and make nice with despots? Really, cancel war games because they are too expensive, but spend more than that on security for golf weekends at Mar a Lago? ReplyDeleteIt's an interesting question, Tom. The vast majority of his 'base' says they will support him no matter what he does:...the evangelicals hold their noses and pull the ballad lever. The white power/nazi/nationalist group like what he is doing. The more insulting of European/Asian/Middle East countries the better, unless they are ruled by dictators, of whom the big cheetio is envious.

but oddly it's the majority of the population.
We've never been in a position like this before....what do we do? We are irreconcilable with people of different beliefs in what our country should be. It's suggested we compromise......how does one compromise with someone who's beliefs, sincere held beliefs, are so repugnant to you as to be nausea-inducing?
I still think we're on the way to divorce court. I doubt, hopefully, I won't be here to see it. But my kids and g'kids have passports, and 'go bags' packed.

Tom, your assessment is spot on. There is a huge difference between a president serving his country and just inflicting himself on the public.
