      This is a great planet to travel, if it weren't for a class of human being, the damned trouble makers-zealots and maniacs.

      That suicidal terrorists can strike is something to weigh as travel plans are made, but we hear more frequently "we can't change how we live or they win."

        Heroism can be mustered up in small ways, like courage to live undaunted. Living unfettered of worry, fear and paranoia is no small thing when we do it together. Fearlessness and stoutheartedness are powerful responses.Valor can be an attitude, too. Refusing to dwell on the what if, frees us. After all, it is our freedom the zealots and maniacs target. Determination and spirit can make us gallant to live as we wish, to live free.

MEATHEADS

   We had to chuckle when one of the meathead/terrorists in Oregon took the money they raised, went to town and burned the cash on booze and a motel.

    What they've done is an act of sedition. It behoves us all to study up on their alleged "grievances." They are losers, free loaders and want to be further subsidized by tax payers. Their sense of history and knowledge of government is lacking. They complain about government but gladly have taken subsidies and are trying to raise cattle  at a 93% lower rate than say ranchers in my neighborhood or anywhere else in the west. Meatheads!

     Not sure what the Feds will eventually do with these domestic terrorists. As Stephen Colbert said the other night-leave them alone as they invite all other militias to share their isolated wilderness compound in the dead of winter. What better place could there be. Now if only Quentin Tarantino could direct their final act.

    Jeremy Scahill is a savvy journalist who has survived war and produced major sets of information.  His latest, Dirty Wars is gripping, troubling and one of those pieces all Americans should see, but wont.
    It's a new day in world politics and the exercise of military might. Answers are not easy, solutions are complicated, but the operation of JSOC is something Americans need to come face to face with.
    The documentary draws you in from the first scene.  Scahill has a point of view, but when he gets information from the inside, to validate and expand what his reporting in Afghanistan, Yemen, Pakistan and elsewhere has shown, you realize this is not your daddy's warfare anymore, nor of course is the nature of the enemy. If you care a whit about the future of this nation and the exercise of power, you need to see this film.  Here's a trailer.
