ON HANDS AND KNEES

ARTISTS AT WORK
The annual I Maddonari Italian street painting
festival in San Luis Obispo provided these
frames of artists at work.

They are beautiful if fleeting pieces. It provides a great weekend on the Mission Plaza. But what backbreaking work, to say nothing of the hands and knees.
See you down the trail.

  1. I always love watching chalk artists when they come to Portland, but I could never put out so much effort only to have it hosed away or destroyed by rain. Still, it is wonderful....

  3. Proof that creation of art or impact doesn't have to be so focused on permanence. Sometimes you just have to grab an audience in a moment and let it be in its time, then move to the next task. It can still possess the heart and mind of the audience in that allowed moment.
